Hello! My name is Jennifer Brough and I enjoy writing, quite a lot. Be it poetry, prose, non-fiction, or fortune cookies.
I’m currently working as an editor and studying part-time for a Masters in Gender Studies and Law. I have a lot of ideas floating around and am always looking for somewhere to share them all, be it in online/printed magazines or other houses for creative works. My eyes are open to requests, offers and recommendations.
I was Birmingham’s Young Poet Laureate from 2006-2007, the winner of the RSC/Cross Playwriting Competition 2012 and was shortlisted for Virago’s Fifty Shades of Feminism competition. I have since contributed to Party In Your Eye Socket, Untold Method, Antlers Press Invisible Architecture project, The Cadaverine, Lines Underwater, The University of London’s Human Rights Consortium’s Anthology, In Protest: 150 Poems for Human Rights, Hark Magazine, Hermenutic Chaos, Anomalie, Vagabonds: Anthology of the Mad Ones (Vol 4), Eunoia Review, Envirohum (Volume 1: Féðe), Rosa, the UK fund for women and girls, and their Twitter campaign #Raiseyourvoice, as well as reviewing theatre for The F-Word and reviewing for Loverboy.
